Change through example

Positivity is definitely something the world can use more of.  It is so easy to get caught up in the negative messages we receive from press, friends, and associates that we lose sight of the good things in life.  We are here.  We are able to logically think, and critically analyze our world, our life, our decisions.  We can make a difference.  Leaders are not born or made, they evolve from people who learn from mistakes and take an active role in the world around them.  We, through our actions, influence others.

Today, as you go through your day-to-day tasks, look inwardly and ask yourself, is the example you are leading with bringing more positive energy and results to the world and people around you?  If not, what can you do to change?

As Maya Angelou once said, “If you don’t like something change it.  If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”

I’m going to work to change my attitude and find more positives in a world flooded with negatives.  Care to join me?

Thank you for this website! and the article above. I’m in. After reading an article on how Russia will be changing their radio policy to be at minimum 50% positive (IHT.com) and while reading such terrible recent US and world news, I thought, “If we can receive such terrible news, I wonder if there are any websites out there that have dedicated themselves completely to positive news”. So, I Googled “positive news” and this website among many others came up. One of the first things I did was set this website as my ‘homepage’ so the first thing I see or read online each day is something positive and uplifting. Thank you.

Thank you! If I had to read, or hear about, one more horrible tragedy/injustice in this world, without a positive uplifting story to balance things out (if that’s possible) I was going to scream!! What you are doing is wonderful beyond words. I will certainly be “spreading” this news. Thank you again.

Thank you! I do believe that if enough people hold on to positive thoughts and deeds that we can change the development in the world one thought at a time.
I saw last week the documovie “10 questions to the Dalai Lama”. One of the points he brought up when asked about the situation in Tibet and the violence committed by the Chinese, he said and I paraphrase: Weapons never win. It might take time but patience, love, healing hearts will always win, always.
Therefore, this website is doing its part in the right direction. Thanks.

I have just come across your website, and am delighted to see such emphasis being placed on the many good and uplifting things that take place daily on our wonderful planet that are sadly often ignored in other media. Thank you for the dose of positive news!

I certainly agree, but with an exception of sorts.

Firstly, I’m 100% behind self-improvement and not dwelling on the negatives. This is positive for each of us.

However, we have to keep in mind that there _are_ bad things going on around us, and failing to acknowledge those things leads to delusion and a false sense of security. Personally, I feel that a balance of idealism and realism is a crucial necessity in one’s life.

Thank you for recognizing the need for positive news reporting. I am to the point where I am scared to turn on the news in the morning in fear of filling my heart and mind with tragedy I simply do not need to know about. I want to hear uplifting and positive news ….I know there are wonderful things happening every day in our world, and I would love to hear about them!

I am very happy I found your site. I have just started a personal boycott on reading the newspaper and watching the news. I, like everyone else, am very tired of reading only of tragedy and hatred. This is one of the first steps I am taking to improve my life. Thank you for giving me something inspiring and beautiful to read over my morning coffee.
